About Tightrope Game
Tightrope Game is an independent daily trivia quiz made by Sofia Digital Ventures. Each day it asks nine original questions, and each correct answer moves a walker one step across a tightrope. It also runs a separate tightrope walking balance game.
The questions
How the questions are written
All 270 questions were written for this game. None are copied from another quiz. They cover nine subjects: science, history, geography, words and language, arts and literature, nature and animals, space, sports and games, and food and culture.
Every question has one correct answer and three wrong ones that are plausible but clearly wrong, plus a one-sentence explanation you see after answering.
Accuracy
How answers are checked
- Only stable, well-established facts. No "current" records, rankings or office holders that can change.
- Wording is checked so exactly one answer is defensible. For example, a question about the ring planet says "bright, spectacular" rings, because four planets have rings.
- The whole bank is checked for repeats, so the same fact doesn't come up twice.
- Questions are sorted into easy, medium and hard, and each walk uses three of each, in that order.
Corrections
How corrections work
If a report shows an answer is wrong or ambiguous, the question is fixed or replaced, and the answers page is updated. Reports are read, not auto-answered, so it can take a few days.
